My research focuses on the representation of everyday urban life and place and brings together theories and methods from cultural geography, ethnography and graphic design. I have proposed the utilisation of a 'geo/graphic design process' with which to engage with the ongoing, processual nature of place (Massey 1994, 2005) and develop print-based representations that offer the reader a multi-sensory, non-linear, interactive reading. This enables the reader to bring their own understandings to bear on place and and engage them in remaking place on a third level (Pink 2009, 101).
